I am using tiova inhaler (tiotropium bromide inhaler 9 mcg) but due to lighten and covid 19 situation. There is shortage of this medicine. So can this medicine is replaced with the budecort inhaler (budesonide inhalation ip 200 mcg/dose)? If yes. Than how many puffs? I am using tiova inhaler 2 puffs/day.

No it cannot kindly substitute with other brands such as tiate etc tiotropium is a lama and used as first line therapy if you switch to budecort it is ics/laba combination you will be over medicating yourself and may not be required tiova is cipla and they provide home delivery please call their helpline online.

Hello, as you mentioned tiova contains only tiotropium, and budetrol 200 has formeterol and budesonide combination, both medications are different. Only your chest physician can tell you if you need inhaled corticosteroids or not.
